About Swedish Massage |
Most of us experience stress in varying levels on a day-to-day basis. Stress is not good for our health because it causes our muscles to tense-up, causing pain and in many cases, stress-related illnesses. It also makes the organs of our bodies function under duress, which is never good.
Swedish Massage helps to alleviate stress and enhance the body's health by increasing oxygen flow in the blood and by helping to release any toxin build-up from within the muscles. It helps increase the speed by which the cells of the body eliminate their waste and because of this, is a fantastic method of detoxification for the mind, body and spirit.
Swedish Massage also helps to stretch the tendons and ligaments, keeping them supple and pliable, and stimulates the skin and relaxes the nervous system at the same time. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, circulation, and promotes our general health and well-being and is often suggested in a program for Stress Management because of its excellent help with stress-related conditions.
