About Reflexology |
Reflexology is a thoroughly relaxing, natural and simple way of helping your body to heal itself.
You do not have to be
unwell to have a treatment. When you are sick, reflexology is
nurturing, healing and relaxing. When you are healthy, it is a relaxing
treatment that makes you feel positive and happy. Regular reflexology
treatments will keep your body’s systems balanced, and can help to
maintain your health.
During a reflexology treatment, pressure is applied to areas all over the feet in order to 'rebalance' energy in your body and stimulate the natural healing process. All parts of the body are said to be reflected in the feet and by stimulating the relevant areas, is said to influence the corresponding areas, organs and systems. As an example, the area just under your little toe is said to represent the 'shoulder zone' of the body, and therefore, working over this area is said to relieve stress and tension. Reflexology has been proven to be beneficial in cases of stress, tension, insomnia, back pain, infertility and I.B.S to name but a few.
