1.Rest.
Sometime the best thing you can do for your aches is nothing at all.
Rest is physically necessary so that your muscles can repair, rebuild and strengthen (especially after strenuous activity).
Simple things like applying ice or cold compresses after the onset of muscle soreness will help reduce pain and inflammation for the first couple of days, and for longer term aches and stresses, applying hot water bottles to tense muscles or having a soak in a warm bath will help increase blood flow and relax your muscles.
Make sure you keep your muscles hydrated and get plenty of sleep too!
